I would love to see some analytical comments of my recent literalism entry. Most of the comments I received were just remarks. One comment didn't care for the skin tone of my hand, which I believe was accurate in the bright lighting, but I can see what they are saying. Actually, I thought about shooting this with a white glove on, but unfortunately, the idea came after the challenge started!

Personally, I thought this was a much stronger entry than it finished. I usually do my own personal ranking of challenges, and while I know that's very subjective and one persons view, it's a good way to look at quality and normalize it within a challenge (like grading on a curve). I didn't think it was 1st place, as personally I ranked about 10 images that I liked better than it. But I was a bit surprised to be ranked 36.

So I'd love to hear your opinions about what I did wrong; is it too esoteric (people don't know what debugging is?), or was it something else.

I'd appreciate you leaving your critique on the image rather than here, so I can refer to them easily later. It's a bit harder to find an old forum thread. Also, I do appreciate you taking the time to leave a detailed critique. As time permits I will try to visit those that are helpful and reciprocate.

I commented directly on your shot. I liked it a much, I think skin tone is the only thing I could mention as negativity. For more, check your submitted photo. :-)
