I put the meaning in the title, that was probably a mistake but I remember hearing that saying when I was growing up. I think it comes from the old days when you would go in the general store and pay up front for something and there were barrels everywhere and money would get put on the barrel head!
I tried so many different things, Many hands make light work, two left feet, Dog day afternoon, 6 of one 1/2 dozen of another (I had written the number 1 six times and the word another 6 times) and looked at lots of other options but my barrel head was done the last night with little prep time, the printed version is cleaner, more balanced and edited better. :)
