But, but, but, your profile says you own a 80-200. Whew.
Good thing you didn't bust that one!

Welcome to my Christmas morning nightmare!! Exact same thing...with one major exception...mine did have kids involved!! I watched my camera go crashing to the floor and the UV filter broke inwards towards my lens!! On top of it, I had to worry that my camera survived!! Yes...dry mouth, left arm tingling...I remember it like it was yesterday!

My lens was shot...the zoom was no longer working and there was a huge scratch on the lens! All very bad. After my hysterics...I was online purchasing a later X-mas gift to me...within an hour!!

P.S. My son has since come out of protective custody and is no longer wearing the disguise. He will see his 3rd birthday!!

I sincerely hope that your son's Xmas gift went back to the shop to help fund your purchase. ;)

PS. I know a place in a suburb of outer Moscow that will give you a pretty good deal on trade +cash , lenses for livers, kidneys and other assorted organs. Sadly the lenses are generally grey market though... ;)

I let Jr. keep his bike from Santa...but, only to look at...no riding!!!

Since, I did get a replacement...I think I'll keep my organs for the moment! But, if this happens again...Jr. better run for cover!!

Wow - sounds like it's been a bad weekend for you eh? ;-)
