Does anyone else like looking for mistakes when watchin a movie, or is it just me?
Here's some pictures of screw-ups from different movies, some of em are pretty good.
I've seen other good ones online, but I can't seem to find them. |

Nah, you aren't the only one! I enjoy spotting the mistakes, goofs, etc! There is another good site for this. It not only list the goofs, but a lot of trivia!

I don't go looking for mistakes but if I see one I'm more prone to look for more. The Internet Movie Database usually lists errors on their movie sites. |

Me me me! I can't help myself. A filmmaker friend of mine said I missed my calling as a continuity expert. The mistakes bug me so much that it's hard to get back into the movie once I find one.
My favorite is the scene in Pulp Fiction where they are in the drug dealer's house and the kid shoots at them with the shotgun. There's a frame that happens before this scene and the holes are already in the wall.
Thanks for the link. Now I have a place to vent:) |

I look for them after I've seen the movie once.
I found one in Top Gun where Viper is looking at Maverick after Goose's death and Viper is wearing black rim sunglasses they pan to Maverick then back to Viper wearing gold rim sunglasses. |

Continuing where Roxanne left off:
Fifth Element - when she punches through through the 'unbreakable' glass and the outline of the break is visible just before she punches.
Indiana Jones - when they're pushed into the buried temple with all the snakes and wimpy wimpy Indy comes face to face with a cobra - yet you can see the reflection of the snake in the glass separating the snake and HF.
*going to go watch movies with Roxanne*

I don't watch a movie for the mistakes, but often notice them when the continuity breaks.
Two of my favorites flubs:
James Bond, Thunderball - in a key underwater fight scene, Bond's dive mask changes color from blue to black and back very quickly in a few cuts.
Terminator 2 - the T2000 is driving the full size big rig truck in the concrete flood control channel, pushes the broken windshield out of his way, forcing it to fall out and down of the drivers view, then seconds later, the windshield is fully repaired and back in it's original position - amazing!

All time favorite is the original starwars when then stormtroopers walk in on C3P0 and R2-D2 in the death star. The stormtrooper on the far right hits his head on the top of the door walking in.
I laugh every time I see it. |

I notice them all the time, it's the editor in me. I've learned, however, to keep it to myself when I do as my long-suffering partner find the pastime less than amusing. ;)

Being in the biz, I always look for mistakes, and even more common, equipment.
the movie "The African Queen" is full of mistakes.
Of course you know about the setting sun at the end of the "Green Berets".
The sun was setting over the China Sea. It does not do that.
Electrical cable is the most common piece of equipment that is seen in a movie. It is either not hidden well, or it is used as part of the set.
