I'm it the rule of third. don't confused with the rule of third.
it's not a freestudy. it's the composition..on the 3rd of your frame shot. with circle focus, left, right or corner of the frame shots.

Right Freda....when I said it is like a free study I meant that most all of our shots should be based on the "golden rule" anyway so by default we can shoot anything we want.

you can shoot anything u wish...it's only the matter of composition!

I'm sure it will be fine Freda! I've shot both bubbles and rule of thirds so now I have to decide which one to use. My rule of 3rds will score better I think, but I would get some great comments with my bubbles....since these scores don't count for team play I might submit to bubbles LOL.

Good morning everyone!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all...and learning from you too!

Just a little about me...I won't bore you with too many details. I was a corporate photographer at Oshkosh B'Gosh (mostly product shots and some advertising) prior to staying home with my kids. Now, I just do freelance gigs when I have time. Really excited, I have a shoot lined up for this summer...shooting all the product for a new start up business...all homemade candy. Should be fun.

I'm currently entered in both the hair and the kitchenware challenges:

mmm...i honestly don't know what to think of my entry.

my 1st trial for the expert editing seem alright
although it's not at 6's but for a 1st trial..5.8 is pretty good.

tmrw..i'm off for a pop/rock band promotion photos.

I'm a bit unhappy since my canon EF 24mm F2.8 lense is no arrived yet.
I'm expecting it to be arrived by tmrw noon.

Welcome Terri! So you are the one that has caused my banking account to plummit through the years! My wife loves Oshkosh and since we have 5 kids.....LOL

Don't be bummed by those scores, they are really great! It is becoming a running joke with me that I reach 6.0 and then drop drop drop. My last 3 entries (insects, nightshot and chains) all were above 6.0 at one time and then fell below 6 at the end! Now I have two more doing the same...my latest kitchenware was actually almost to 6.3 at one time!

The good thing is that before I was struggling to get over 5.5 and now I'm shooting for 6s! Being in a team has helped my creativity and motivation..

Sorry about sending you to the poor house Jason! When I worked at B'Gosh...they would have employee sales and everything was $1! I stocked up on everything (I was pregnant with my first)...didn't even know if I was having a boy or a girl!

Well...my kitchenware is up to 5.5222...so, it's up a bit.

and KFC too lolol..

honestly and seriously..from time to time these kind of foods are good for fun with family or kids..but not for daily healthy routine. That's how I have fun with my nephews and nieces..we go for fast foods...and there are times (more) for us cooking together at home and see who the best cooker!

I miss them.

Just kidding about the money spent Terri...LOL. Actually we usually buy all our baby clothes from resale shops and you can get great deals on OshKosh and Carter, etc...Laurie would be very jealous of $1.00 OshKosh clothes!

With a big family it costs way to much to do "convenient" food...besides everyone in my family likes to cook..(especially me!). We do order pizza on occasion though :)

How old are your children Terri? Mine are 14, 11, 8, 5, 3 and -.3 :)

Jason...Olivia is 5 and Nate is 2. I'm with you on the resale shops! Especially with how hard Nate is on clothes/shoes and Olivia is just a little fashion plate!! I keep telling hubby...he is going to be in so much trouble when Olivia is a teenager...she alone is going to put us in the poor house!!

Freda...do your neices/nephew live near you? Do you see them often?

OMG

I'm shocked with my Landscape result..
Place: 91 out of 305
Avg (all users): 6.1131 <<< ended with 6's!! all the way from 4.7!

gosh..

Terri..
my nieces and nephews are far away from me.
They are in south east asia and I'm in europe.
meeting them once a year for a month. :)))
