I just received an email letting me know I had won one of the lotteries for McNeil River Sanctuary. I get to go there in June for 4 days on a guided tour and photograph the grizzlies close up! These are wild grizzlies that congregate at the river to catch salmon - sometimes as many as 40 at a time. I am sooooo geeked!!

Wow, I would be dancing around my place like a madman if I was given an opportunity like that. This summer I think I'll try to visit the Fish Creek Wildlife Observation Site in Hyder, but it really doesn't compare to McNeil River.
Hopefully the weather cooperates! |

Wow, that's SuhWeet! Can't wait to see your shots! But whatever you do, DO NOT cover yourself in lard & honey before going out to shoot those grizzlies.

LOL - no, I wont be cloning in fish. I just realized on the qoute that I said I was going in June - I meant July...the 23rd-26th. Would be a great time for a wildlife challenge ! |

Robt. I'd surely invite you along, but they only let the people listed on the application go. Even my guy can't come along. :( It's still going to be a wonderful experience. |
