I have created 5 pictures to compare the Lightsphere II Cloud:
1) Direct Flash
2) Direct Flash pointed at subject with Lightsphere II attached
3) Bounced off ceiling no diffuser
4) Bounced off ceiling with Lightsphere II
5) Bounced off ceiling with bounce card (white paper)
You can see #3 has dark eyes which #4 and #5 eliminate.
Which do you think is best?

I find it difficult to compare them because the white balance is quite different in every shot. They each have a different color cast to them that makes them all not-so-great and hard to say which is better. |

I apologize for the color balance. The general conclusions I just wanted to make are a bounce off the ceiling without a flash does indeed leave dark eyes like Fong claims.
For me the bouncecard and the lightsphere II are pretty close, my preference is use the lightsphere and adjust the color balance to your liking. |

In terms of lighting alone, I think that the Lightsphere Bounce has the best diffusion and fewest hotspots on the figure. The bounce card is brightest, but it comes off a bit harsh in the face and leaves many reflective hotspots. |

Try halfing the size of the "bounce card" ... (halving?)
