I noticed that a large portion of the entries depicted time as the device designed to measure it (clocks, watches etc). I am also having the feeling that a significant fraction of the voters also refuse to accept entries which are trying to really show the concept of time.

Time is about change. If everything became stationary with no changes at all, we would stop percepting time. Thus, entries capturing the process of a change are just as good fit in the challenge as showing clocks. (Especially reading the 'Details' session under the challenge: "Time keeps on slippin, slippin', slippin... into the future."

...At least, this is my opinion/suggestion.

And others refuse to accept entries which don't depict movement, so I'm sure it all evens out.

Well one user left a comment that basicly goes like "Thsi DNMC because it doesnt show the progression of time"

If the image shows time elapsing through minutes would that not be ticking away? I cant say anymore until the challenge is over. But looking at the images and what you said I get the feeling that atleast 5 images that show motion in time are ignored as any form of ticking away?

I agree, I entered a "clock" shot but that was just because I couldn't come up with anything better on short notice...lol.

If I would have had more time I would have also gone for something that did NOT have an actual clock or watch in it, but alas, I didn't have that luxury for this challenge.
