I used to have email from my domain forward to my gmail account. Now that Google Apps is available, I've adopted it and set up my DNS at GoDaddy.com accordingly so I can use my domain in a truer sense with Google services.

I've set up pages for www, start, mail, calendar, and docs. A dozen or so accounts for family so far. All pages (except www) are customizeable by the user.

I've run into two problems so far and wonder if anybody here has had the same experience and perhaps a solution:

1. To hit my website, the "www.domain.com" must be entered in the browser, I want to also direct "domain.com" (without the www), but haven't had any joy yet. I've followed instructions (below) but no worky. Maybe I need to wait longer for propagation, but I doubt it.

Forwarding 'example.com' to 'www.example.com'

If you’d like to allow users to enter example.com and arrive at your web pages at www.example.com, we recommend creating a Javascript redirect, or a 301/302 redirect to point your users to the intended destination.

To create a 301/302 redirect, contact your hosting service for further instructions.

Example: GoDaddy.com

If you have an account with GoDaddy.com, you can create a 302 redirect in the Domain Forwarding section. Enable the forwarding feature, enter example.com as the Forward to: address, and click OK.

Note: If you delete the default A record for @ in your DNS settings, the redirect may not work.

2. When a new user logs in for the first time, they are redirected to the DOCS page, and must hit Back twice to get to the proper Start page. I fixed this by removing the DOCS service from the Start page and simply putting a link to the service in its place. I searched Google Apps support and this appears to be a bug, but I don't know if there may be a fix or not.
