Challenge Title: White Balance
Description: Creatively use white balance in this week's shot.

To be run under Minimal Editing.

Not quite. Actually it was a stack of neon colored printer paper. :-)

Are you thinking about doing something like setting camera white balance to 'florescent' and take an outdoor image to get a blue overtone or something like that?

Those who have the ability to set color temperature directly (which, after all, IS white balance) in their cameras would have an advantage. Not suggesting that is wrong (I can do that. ;) ) It is naive to think the playing field is really 'level' in the first place.

What is good is that it gives people an opportunity to experiment with and learn the hardware functional capabilities of their own cameras. Everyone should know that.

this is a shot I did the other day, I shot a picture of grass while using a IR filter to achieve that white balance.

Might be a good one for Minimal Editing, where JPEG is required. Otherwise, shooting RAW, the WB can be made anything you want it to be in conversion.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Even in PP app's you can adjust color temp and achieve some similar results.
