Hi, guys!

My Dad is responsible for the shipping of several historical photographs... he says his client calls them 'plates.' Frankly, I don't even know what this means! Would anyone be able to explain it and offer advice on how to ship them so they don't get ruined?

Thanks!

Probably referring to glass plates treated with a photographic emulsion. Best way to ship? I wouldn't hazard a guess but you could contact your local museum for tips or search online.
