Hey,
I displayed this shot at work and each "man" that saw it said they would have blown it out of the sky! No mention of the quality or
"fun-ness" of the shot! Oh well !
Comment on my duck please!

Nice capture ,focus is great, I used to be one of those people too but the older I get and the closer I get to my own demise the more I appreciate all living things. |

Dude you live in a state the is called "the sportsman's paradise" what else do you expect:) when I moved from La to Florida it was strange to realize that almost nobody I knew hunted or fished vs in La I was a weirdo for not doing those things. Then I moved to Georgia where things went back to normal:)
damn nice shot BTW. |

I hear ya! I'm actually not against hunting and would wring the neck of a duck if my kids were hungry....but I really like the pic of my duck. I should have known not to post the shot in an office where delivery drivers check-in daily !

great timing on the capture.
I wonder about the water color, while it is most likely true to life, it just looks weird to me. Have you tried to do any selective color adjustments to maybe make it more blue? Just curious, it is a great shot. |

Guess what? Although the water looks strange...that is the color of it this time of year. It is Lake Ramsey in Covington Louisiana. I think it is about 600 acres and is spring fed. No rivers empty into it and there is no tide.
The green tint is some kind of "good" alge. If I'm correct, this bloom each year somehow stops a more "destructive" seagrass or lakegrass from getting out of hand later. I have never read up on it much so that's about all I know. But...the color you see is almost right on !
Thanks for looking!
