I think a lot of people might be offended with it as the historical facts of the episode bear little relation to what has ended up on the screen!

What's that?? Hollywood straying from truth and facts??? What am I to believe in now? :(

I just saw it. It was beautiful to look at, and very artistically presented. Like a graphic novel come alive. There wasn't great acting or historical accuracy, but lots of WOW.

I dislike violence in movies, but somehow this violence didn't seem real and began to feel very fantasy-like, so it didn't really bother me. There are so many scenes that are funny too. Xerxes is so over the top that every time I saw him I couldn't help but laugh. I am not sure if this is what the director intended, but IMO it was a bit of dark humor. I wonder if others will see it this way.

And...speaking as a women.... the scenes where the Spartan army stands bare-chested, clad in only leather undies, red capes, shields and spears... OMG!! They are all perfect! What a beautiful image it makes!

A very interesting, artistic, dark and sometimes humorous film.

Watching this movie on imax made me want to DRAGAN all my pictures! ^_^

The Spartans soldiers all look draganized and their red capes are good contrast to the golden backdrop. Very beautiful cinematography. The plot is well narrated and shown.

It was awesome!
Except Im sad to say that the cinematography was all made in post so the cinematographer did nothing except to light 2:1 all the way.

Its a photoshoped movie, and dont get me wrong, i loved the look. But its almost like a bad photographer that masters photoshop.

Apparantly, Iranian officials didn't give it such a good review. Warner Bros. Studios beefed up security at all the gates due to possible threats.
