I've been thinking about maybe buying a lensbaby with macro kit lens. I came here to do some research on it, and well, my biggest thought was this: a good lensbaby photo requires good composition, good lighting/posting, subject matter that goes well with the look, and most important of all, a great photographer behind that funny looking thing (It reminds me of Shrek). I'm still on the fence about getting one though...I really want a tilt shift lens, but man those suckers are really expensive! Another reason, I think it could make for some interesting shots with an HVX-200 cinema camera using an M2 adapter :) Just my 2 cents!

Get one if you're the type that likes to experiment alot. I don't think you need to know much about photoshop. I might get one eventually. Right now, i'm just waiting for my toy cameras and film development chemicals and junk in the mail.

I like the way the lensbaby shots look, very funky.

I love mine, but don't play with it as often as I should. I've used it during weddings and everyone always loves the pics. Its a great one to use when photographing something that might otherwise look dull and uninteresting.... like a cake! ;)
