Would you consider this art?
I was just playing with photoshop, learning new things.
I created this for my sister (it's her face in the flower).
What do you think? Is is OK, or is it just a begginer's stuff?

Hi, I would consider it art. Although I can't really judge the "quality" of it ... art being something very subjectif and personal. And lots of different people probably have lots of different definitions about art ...
I like your creation, although at first I didn't see the face in it!! Very subtle :)
And besides, the most important thing is you like it. Whether other people call it art or not. My personal opinion is that if you have created something original, with an intention, an idea in your mind, then I'm sure it can be called art. |

like it Timmi.
One change I'd make though is to the stamen(???) that looks like a hair growing out of her nose.

I like the color and the delicate image of her face. The background is a very good color choice. A small (3 pixel) pink/salmon border followed by another 10-15 pixel black border may be an additional option.
Regarding "art"?
Yes. |

according to Webster ""the conscious use of skill and creative imagination especially in the production of aesthetic objects"
Art is something that you create. Now, taste is another thing all together. I have seen art I like and crap art I hate. Your image is pleasing. I like it. Very creative. You are an artist.

Very nice. The one thing I would change,as mentioned by Natator, is the little curls esp. on her nose.
Possibly if you lightened those areas before putting her face there they would not be as prominent.
A light use of the dodge tool should help.
yes, art. |

Wonderful image. This is more art than a lot of my photos turn out to be, haha! I like the softness created by the pink color/hue. Very nice. |

it's awesome! I like it alot, the tilt of her face lays very nicely into the flower's surface. I love the color choice, as does most everyone else, if I read right. This is ART. And great job; being a beginner! I am too! :)
Keep smiling!

Thank you everyone for your comments. I really appreciate it. My sister loved it, but then again she is kind of biased :-))
