I tried searching for a thread like this...no luck.
Does anyone know an easy way to print a poster for a sports team that has multiple pictures on it?
My wife's cousin is a gymnastics coach for little kids. She asked me to price her some photo packages. I found the memory mates, buttons, trading cards, etc on Mpix and planned on using them for the printing. Today she emailed and said in years past, photographers have offered a poster of group pictures of all the different age groups. I am guessing this is similar to our football team posters that showed the whole team, the linemen, the receivers, etc all on separate photos.
Has anyone had these type of posters done? Are there on-line services that would have a "drag and drop" template or should I look around the local print shops?
Also, are the Mpix memory mates decent or are they flimmsy pages of photo paper? Would I be better of buying prints and the little cardboard frames to put them in (old school style)?
Thanks, Drew |

i used fotofusion to make this
and had them printed at a local pro lab. the prints, depending on size, cost me anywhere from $4-20, but the selling price ranges from $75-300. |

Thanks Skip! But I think previous year's posters were prices lower so the parents would purchase them as part of a package. I had hoped there would be an easier solution than building it from scratch. What size did you print the posters?
BTW, Skip, (Not to hijack my own thread) I've got some real nice DPC membership cards in my trunk if you are interested! :P Seriously, I've enjoyed your input in the forums. Thanks!
Edit: spelling

hey, drew, cheers to you, too!
fotofusion made it really easy--really, really easy. the sizes ranged from 11x14 to 36x24. i'm sure there are some 'poster' printers out there for quantity prints, but most of what i do is one-off.
good luck! |
