How about a reduction in sensor size ... to one pixel?

In 2050 cameras will only be, in essence, the sensor chip. The sensor chip will be the inside surface of an emptied (hollow) hemisphere with a clear glass protective cover to allow light in. The half-ball-inside sensor surface will receive a complete reflection of the 180 degrees world view and records it.
In editing the user picks a center point, image ratio( portrait or landscape) , and coverage amount (zoom & crop) and the software corrects for the flat photo.

Oh, by the way I have patented this idea and it is protected by law.

Sounds interesting... can't wait to see the prototype. Make sure to get the idea in the hands of the good guys (Canon) first :-D

how about a pair of glasses where eyemovement would operate something like a heads up display in a fighter--- crop zoom whatever you wanted bw the whole thing in a pair of classes blink to capture?
