It seems to be common that folks are amazed at what's possible in basic editing. I know I was, the first time I saw what looked like selective editing but wasn't.

I thought it'd be good to share examples of where we've changed colors considerably from the original using only basic editing. First, I highly recommend Konador's tutorial.

Even better would be if people who post are willing to share their photo editing files. That would really let people learn what's possible and how it can be done.

Here's my example from the hate challenge. If anyone wants the Photoshop file, just PM me. At the small size, it's only about 1.5 MB.

Wow! I had no idea that color manipulations would have the optical illusion of flipping over the image, too. ;)

Bad Brad. Go sit in the corner until ya kin tell the difference twixt Basic and Advanced. :P

I know full well what you (and by "you," I mean YOU, Brad, not the generic "you") can do under advanced rules. You're basically a Photoshop god.

Now go find an example where you modified colors in an amazing way under basic rules. :)

Ah. Never mind. The frame's fine - it's the colors I'm looking for. :)
