I seem to be kind of more into digital art these days, probably just a phase that will wear off soon but I enjoy spending time in the evening with Photoshop and my Wacom just building stuff. I'll get over it soon and will start getting back into challenges big time again for sure.

A lot of people write to me asking how I shoot models for the images I make, so I thought I'd post the before and after shots of my last 3 images here.

I usually get an idea of what I want to do first and then have the model pose in the position I want on a white background. I then separate her in Photoshop and begin building until I reach the result I am after:

Wow - Amazing stuff - I could only dream of doing such stuff - I still need to learn layers! Still don't know how I get by without.

cool - do you explain your idea to them before or after making them pose in whacky positions?

Yeah sure of course :) If they know what they are posing for then they can do it more realistically.

Yeah sure of course :) If they know what they are posing for then they can do it more realistically.

Some excellent work there - The pearl diver is my fav, very convincing.
