I was going for a poster look in my propaganda submission.
I liked the look of the artistic filter, "poster edges" applied to the whole photo. I thought I was okay because it wasn't "spot editing" but when I looked at the rules I saw this:

no effects filters may be applied to your image, with the exception of Noise and Gaussian blur, the two of which are allowed

Darn!

And I assume rendering lense flare for effect is out too?

How are we supposed to sway the masses with reality?

This may have something to do with why there are only 91 entries for an open challenge with nine hours to go :-)

I'm on the point of withdrawing mine, as I don't really think the approach will be understood - but I might equally leave it in as the competition is so comparatively small ... ah, decisions, decisions...

I know mine will be misinterpreted somehow. And it has a visual quality (or some may complain, lack thereof) to it that I wouldn't normally submit (and wouldn't normally do well) - yet it somehow seemed fitting to a propoganda shot. But I felt like coming up with something for this challenge was a mini-victory in itself, so I figure I'll go for it.

I generally go for the “abstract” title, I believe this time it’s right to the point. Will it be considered propaganda though.:)

My propaganda shot (if it STAYS submitted, after all I still got almost 3 hours to back out...) is kind of vague. It could take a couple of interpretations... We'll see (if I leave it there...) how THAT does...

Ditto! I came up with the idea this morning, shot it this afternoon and am still working on figuring out which would be the best title for it. I need to get across my point there, especially since there's no text allowed...2 hours to go...
