I got the letter below today on flickr.

Has anyone heard of them? and does anyone know if it is legit?

Hello Matt,
my name is Manuel, from Sartoria Comunicazione.

Sartoria is a creative agency based in Modena, Italy. We're active in many different fields such as art exhibitions, alternative marketing initiatives, retail concepts, adv, new media and so on. Clients include Nike (worldwide), Lee (europe), Nokia, Slam Jam, Medicom Toy, and many others.

I am writing you because we noticed your "Smoke Art" serie of images on Flickr, really like your approach, and would love to feature your work in our new forthcoming CUBE book issue.

CUBE is a no commericial traffic project that usually comes out one every two years, a special limited edition book (999 copies) distributed free to artists, influencers and friends worldwide. CUBE included in the past a diverse host of collaborators from the best artists and photographers around the world such as Futura, Mode2, Harry Peccinotti, Craig Stecyk, Ed Templeton, Phil Frost, Antoine Le Grand, UNKLE, and, really, too many to mention.

For a brief overview of the past issues you can have a look at the (somewhat cryptic) CUBE website: www.cubemag.com/

Would love to feature 1/14 of the book to your images.. Hope this email finds you well, and that you can share yout houghts on this.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for any further info (my contacts are below).

All the best form windy Italy,
> Manuel

Have you checked out the website? Googled it at all? Googled the artists he mentions? Maybe one of them will have a "contact" link on a website and you can get a reference.

Never heard of them, but the letter appears to be genuine enough. Would it do any harm to follow it up a little and see what they require ? Sooner or later you will smell a rat if they are not legit.

The information holds true so far. Sartoria The Cube Mag

I just send Him a letter back asking what all would be involved. I was just wondering if anyone here had heard of them.

So I got another letter from Him today, I would get 14 pages in the magizine. unfortunately there is no pay, however the exposer might just make up for that.
