Hey everyone,
So, I've been pretty busy doing shoots lately (Model Mayhem models willing to sign model releases for stock--yeah!). But the last couple shoots I did didn't involve any props--just different outfits (or nude) and posing in front of various backdrops. I have a bunch of stuff around the house I use for props when I shoot, if I'm shooting with at least part of the shots going for stock. Cell phone, laptop, exercise ball and weights, etc.
So my question is, I need ideas for different props. I don't want to spend a fortune, but I don't mind spending some $$$ for decent stuff to include in my photos. Not necessarily stuff you would find in a photo store either (pillars, etc), but I want a stool (simple wodden one), and ...what? Help me out--all suggestions welcome!

Hobby Lobby :)

Seriously, you will find all kids of great stuff there :)

Last time I went, I spent around 200 dollars and now my prop box is full LOL

As far as WHAT to buy... you will just know when you see it and start getting ideas. I don't think anyone can really just TELL you what you should buy because we don't know what kind of creativity you have :)

I would say everyone needs some stools of different heights at a minimum but you already know that ;)

Just go browse Hobby Lobby sometime... you might be surprised :)

I've never heard of them. Is it an online store, or brick and mortar? I'm off to Google them now, thanks. Any other thoughts? I know you can't necessarily say what is going to work perfectly for me, but right now I'm fishing for ideas. Bring 'em on!

Okay, I just found their site and clicked on "locations". Nothing in New York at all, which explains why I've never heard of them. But if they ever come around to my area, I'm there!

TC is right....Hobby Lobby is great. And what ideas you'll get walking through there. I love it.

Peace
