BTW: don't flame me if this has already been discussed, I haven't seen nor found any post, but I've not been around long enough to be sure.
Like many people here (I imagine), I like to look at other people's profile, portfolio etc. Especially when they are great photographers, with amazing and insipiring portfolios.
But with 57649 people in the database, finding the good ones is a bit hard... Of course I discover new people when they get a ribbon. But many do not actually get ribbons that often and still have very interesting portfolios (for example  Dax-) . Not to mention those that are not active anymore but have a great past (I just discovered recently Heida). etc.
This may not be that important for those of you that are old timers, but for me it's a bit frustrating, imagining all the "hidden treasures" on the site.
SO: my point is, why couldn't I search people based on some other criteria (how many favs, avg score, ribbons etc.). I'm very much against any "ranking" system - I much prefer having everyone equal like it is today, but just in the search engine, that could be helpful.
