This may be a silly question that doesn't even warrant a response. Yesterday my friend and I discussed how to place our new video camera in a new camera bag. She wanted the camera to be in a vertical position in the bag---I've always thought any camera equipment needed to be in a horizontal position stored in a camera bag. The vertical position does leave more space in the bag for other things, but it is good for the camera? They always place camera equipment in a horizontal position in the original boxes they ship in.

I really do not think it matters, if you look at most photo backpacks it seats the camera vertical in these.
