My new rebel is giving me very strange import data info, telling me modified and imported and original dates all different, some are 1969!! I was 2 yrs old!! What is wrong!??! any ideas, my first batches of photos the date was fine????

Ellamay mine did the same only everything came out 1980. Grrrh.
I think it's the silly folder system/every 100 photos. ?? I fixed the date under menu. You'll see it in the instruction book. If you have trouble let me know and I'll tell you step by step. Not sure of the cause, but I'm watching it closely.

well, i looked at date and it is the correct date? hmm file system i will look at that, thnks

ps i have it set on continous so that should not be a problem?? right?

Maybe that is where the problem comes from?? I was using continuous also. ?????
CLUE! lol

just to let you know, there is a firmware update posted on the canon site.
i don't know it it will fix the problem you have but it can't hurt

Interesting DQ potental "sorry your picture was taken in 1969 and even though that was 34 years before this camera was avalable your picture dose not meet the criteria for the submistion dates"

LOL very funny,
I actually solved the problem, my laptop battery died during a power outage, and it reverted the date to some obscure date. So, problem solved!! phew
May want to check your comp settings justine. : )

I was going to say.
I always leave the camera in continuos mode as you never know when you may want it, and better than forgetting to turn it on/off
I took about 850 photo's and date/time was fine ;)
