I have no professional lighting in my home but would still like to get some quality photos with what I have. Do any of you have any tricks for using "around the house" lighting?

if you diffuse the lighting using regualt printer paper of parchemnt paper or even wax paper, it will make the lighting less harsh and easier to work with. :)
