I recently was hired to shoot a group of three weddings as a second photographer by a studio who liked my work I did for a fashion shoot.

I didnt have a fast lens to cover the range of 70-300 or so, so I purchased my first L lens The 70-200 2.8 USM. I didnt opt for the IS since it was considerably more and this will be my first 3 weddings. I will be able to cover the cost of the lens with the pay from the weddings so am hoping it was a good purchase. $1114.95 for the lens new.

Ack, thats allot of cash.

Yes, it's a pile of money, but that's a wonderful lens.

The most i've spent on a lens was last october, $725 for a canon 10-22. In March I'm getting the 17-55 2.8IS for about a $1000. Then later this year hopefully the 70-200 2.8 IS.

Need a Sigma 18-50 2.8?
