hello!
I was just wondering if some of you have your own website where you sell your photos.
have you had any marketing surveys before doing this? did you do you have a marketing plan, market and consumer analysis and all this before you started?
I am just wondering how it works in real life. I am studying (well, had been studying before I took a year off only to take photos:) arts management and we wer learning all those things.
but how do you do it? in real life?
thank you!
Svetlana

It appears you are taking the right steps in working towards getting into exhibitions. Gallery representation is usually the goal of fine art photographers but this is not easy to accomplish.
If you want to try to sell some photographs online, here are some examples of websites where photographers are selling their photographs:
These two are local to this area and have cash-based websites:
Barbara Warren
Tsuyoshi Ito
Famous Wildlife photographer:
John Shaw

thank you so much Frank and Mary!
I will start with my website and try to get to the galleries when I become good in taking photos.
Frank, I've been recieving newsletters from that website for some time now and never actually been there.) hehe, how weird. I don't even remember when I registered there and if I registered at all.
thank you! |
