I have donated a few photos to a charity auction to help support a local Free Clinic. I need to write a little blurb about myself "hyping me up". Frankly, I don't have much. What types of things should I include? These are the two sentences I have so far. I'm probably looking for 4-5 sentences total.
Jason Friesen, a local allergy/immunologist in private practice, has won multiple awards for his photographic work. His passion is shooting natural locations in the Washington/Oregon area.
Help!!!

his idea! :P
I know it's hard to write a "blurb" (that's a weird word) about yourself, I had to do it too for my exhibition..
Can you tell something about the photos you've donated? I mean, telling you're a fantastic landscape-photographer and donating floral-photos is a bit weird ;) |

I got the next sentence...
"He is a calm individual who puts up with crazy people on an hourly basis."

Wait, you want me to tell you which photos I donated, or you want me to tell the auction folks something about the shots?
I'm donating versions of these three shots:

No the photos, sorry.
Hmm, pretty diverse.
Ok, I'm gonna think about this, but it's gonna be a tough one for me too because of the English part ;) Or maybe you want the text in Dutch? :P |

Heh, write it in dutch and I'll just translate it with Babelfish. That ought to work out just fine. :)
You don't have to write something for me, but just give me ideas of things to mention. You don't have to do my homework... :)

Jason Friesen, a local allergy/immunologist in private practice, has won multiple awards for his photographic work.
His passion is shooting natural locations in the Washington/Oregon area.
Armed with only a camera as his paintbrush and easel, Jason has developed an artistic gift for capturing the beauty in the natural landscapes, particularly in the Washington/Oregon area. When asked how he does it, Jason replies, "Nature can take your breath away if you choose to really see it, rather than just looking at, and I like being kept breathless. The rest is easy".
It's a start...

I've used something like the following in some of my press bios:
John Rummel is an award-winning amateur photographer and amateur astronomer. When not taking photos or gazing into the night-time sky, he moonlights as a school psychologist for the Madison Public schools.
Humor, gets'em every time. |

after all the comedy...
I generally find another persons "blurb" and then either write in similar style, or just change some of the facts to match me.

It all sounds super but for this part ... I would omit it, if I were you ...
"Print sizes can range from 8x10 to 16x24 or beyond."
It is surely not necessary in this blurp ... if people are interested they can contact you and ask what is available ...
To me this is very ... hrm ... used car salesman ... not classy.
Just my $0.02
