I have read many times about resizing by increments of 10%, but am not sure how you do that? do you resize, then save in jpeg or some other file format? I have tried this to reduce jaggies in my photos, but don't seem to get any kind of change, whether I do it in one large reduction or smaller ones? Are you supposed to edit everytime you reduce by 10%, and when you try to reduce again, do you bring your counter up to 100% or leave it where you last reduced? Not quite getting this method of reduction. |

Not sure about reducing a picture size, I have always used this method to increase the size of a picture. |

It's usually called stair interpolation. In earlier versions of PS, those without Bicubic Sharper and Bicubic Smoother, the idea was to use Bicubic and stair interpolation to minimize introduced errors. To enlarge, in your Image Size dialog you'd set the dimensions to 110% for width and height and the Resample Image box to Bicubic then click OK. To reduce, use 90% and Bicubic and click OK. Continue either until you reach the desired size. You don't close the image or save after each resizing step.
