Hi All, I was at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum on Saturday taking a wildflower walk for photographers and found out that the arboretum is helping get a photography society going. The first meeting is this Wednesday, May 9th, 2007 at 6:30 pm in the Chanhassen library. Sorry for the short notice. Here is the text from one of the organizers:

Wednesday is our first meeting at Chanhassen Library 6:30 - 8:30.
Chanhassen Library is part of Carver Library System: so if you use mapquest, be sure to look for this specific address.
Address: 7711 Kerber Blvd 952-227-1500.
Take Powers exit North from Hwy 5.

Note: At this time, our meetings will be monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. This can change if the majority would like a different day and time. Saturday and Sunday's are possibilities.
Arboretum Bloom Project: What’s the Arboretum wants and process to get them to the Arboretum.
Presentation on Photographing Flowers by Don Maier and Milo Meland: they will be addressing composition, what lens to use etc. Come prepared with your questions.
Practice on tips from presentation and time to have specific questions answered: Bring your cameras: we will have flowers to practice with.
Sharing and Learning from each other: Bring images of flowers that you would like to share with the group. You can ask for specific feedback on your images if you choose to.
