I'm almost certainly out this time around. Looking into the Chicago GTG instead.

I'm in town for Thanksgiving though. Late November Minneapple GTG anyone?

November - Maybe Como Park Conservatory, or the Sprawl of America. Bright indoor places.

Minneapolis GTG is still a go. We have confimation of possibly about 5 members plus friends as of the end of Feb. I have sent out re-confirmation emails to those users to make sure that they are still in. So if anyone wants to join us on Sat. April 7th there's plenty of room!

Looking at Saturday April 7th, will be coming up with a time/schedule within the next couple of days.

Ok since we're now less than 2 weeks out, maybe it's time to start planning things a little more? Any ideas for places to go to and places to meet up?

Beginning to get excited about this GTG.
I think I've got the whole day of of work,
(not just half as I was expecting)
What sort of places are people thinking about.
My usual shooting haunts are limited by the city bus system.
Loring park, downtown Minneapolis, Lyndale Gardens, Minnehaha Falls.
Would be nice to travel farther afield.

If the meeting place is not on bus system I will have to beg a ride.

I think it's best to meet, initially, somewhere easy with parking. And, I agree, the zoo/conservatory would be a nice place to shoot so maybe we should start there? 9am 10am?

Bluzeamia- If you anticiapte troubles with transportation, please feel free to "PM" me and you can hitch with me.

Any other ideas for shooting? Maybe the foot bridge, St.Anthony Main, Nicollet Island area would be fun area to shoot as well?

It opens at 10:00AM.

The week after your GTG, the conservatory actually has this:
Camera and Artist Event
Sunday, April 15 from 8 - 10am
Artists and photographers are allowed to bring in tripods and easels during non public hours. Cost for is $5.00 per person.

I have listed below two possible places to meet. I am personally having a change of heart and would like to meet at the sculpture garden. Lets say at 9AM? There are many places we can walk to from the sculpture garden without having to move cars and losing people. If the group decides later on in the day, we can surely proceed to the conservatory/minnehaha falls/etc... Sound good to everyone? Let me know your thoughts!
