Sorry to be so harsh but i've had some asses give me a hard time already.
I'm looking for websites, Book's, or just some people that can help me get better with my photography and photoshop editing.
if anyone can help me out that would be great, because i really like to take pictures.. but i want them to look good.

Hey Maver, welcome to DPC! This is a great place to learn but you don't have to come in fighting because we're pretty friendly here, for the mostpart.

To start with, check out the stuff under the "Learn" menu in the menu bar. There are some excellent tutorials in there. If you have specifics you're looking for information on, try searching the forums, there's a ton of stuff in here (for example, a search on "photography books" brings back this thread). If you'd like feedback on your photos and have them hosted somewhere on the web, feel free to start a thread in the "Individual Photograph Discussion" forum and link to them.

A lot of people feel that one of the best ways to learn is to start commenting on other people's stuff. It's okay if you're not a technical wizard, just start considering what you like and don't like about people's photos. That's also a good way to encourage folks to leave you feedback on your images.

Enter a few challenges. If you're a beginner, you might get banged around a bit but take the feedback you get and keep working!

lol ... nice first post. :-}

I agree, people here are pretty helpful, especially if you want critiques on your photos. However, you need to give us some clue as to what you want help on. You didn't specify in your post what specific aspects you are trying to learn. If you have never used a camera before and don't know the first thing about your new *ist, then yeah you'll need to read some books (starting with your camera's manual) and then come and ask specific questions about the finer points you're having difficulty with.

That said, I can recommend "Mastering Digital Photography" by David Busch. It covers photography and digital cameras from a fairly high level, but also gets into specifics of understanding the functions on a D-SLR and working with image files, and then discusses the various areas of photography -- scenic, portraiture, action/sports, etc. It's a good read for a beginner (which I'm not so most of it was too basic for me but I still picked up a few tips and tricks).
