Hi! I am trying to learn learn learn a whole bunch about some web design software programs (mainly Dreamweaver 8 and Flash 8) and found this site called lynda.com. I have never used this site before, and wanted to know if any of you have used it for anything and if you found it helpful? A yearly membership would allow me to learn TONS of things-- if this is a good method. I learn very well in self-paced courses and books, so I'm thinking this would be a good investement. :) Any thoughts or opinions? Thanks! |

I've learned a ton at lynda.com. Even attended some of their sponsored seminars live, and they were great too.

Thanks, Doug. :) I found their testimonial page, too... which confirms what you said. And hey, this isn't so off-topic, they have digital photography training videos and even one on how to sell and publish your photos. :) |

It's relatively expensive in objective terms, but it would seem to be worth it if the tutorials are good and you spend the time to take advantage of what's offered. Worth paying for a month to try it out, anyway.

Thanks, Robert. :) I agree it seems expensive at first, but I really think it could pay for itself if I got some web design jobs out of it. :) Plus, when you compare it to individual course costs, it's down-right cheap! :) |

You can preview some of the videos in each category and/or try the $25/mo membership if you're not sure if you want to go for the whole year. |
