... or a little freaky!

I just got this email from someone who saw me on the street earlier this week and asked me about doing a modeling portfolio for him. I shot a few pics and gave him my card, really didn't expect to hear back from him considering he looked about 5 minutes from homeless - smelled it too.

Hey I was the guy you took photos of with blonde hair on St. George street. My name is Jon. I really like your web site it looks really really cool. Very artisitc. It looks like it took a lot of time and work putting it together.
I would have troulble coming up with the money to do a photo shoot with you. I know you said 100 dollars an hour. Its very reasonable for the classy type of work the you do very high quality photos. I think their great. Its just its hard for me to come up with that type of money. I usually work constuction so maybe I could do some yard work for you, mow the lawn, trim the bushes, put up a fence, help build a deck, wash the dog, walk the dog anything like that, give you a nice relaxing massage . I could do that instead of the 100 dollars an hour but but right now thats a little steep for me. It was fun having you take those photos of me. Its something I have always wanted to do though was a photoshoot becasue then I would have something to present to the agenecies that looks credible. Not that I would get a modelling contract from that anyway. But atleast I woudl have something to show them .If you ever want to photograph me for whatever reason I definitley will just email me.

So HA! I could get a free massage AND get the lawn cut for a few pics! Or I could move, change my phone number and go into hiding! hehehee

Wow! Quite an e-mail, so have you decided on the massage or the lawn mowing? I feel he might be wanting to explain exposure to you!

But, if he has access to a computer he can't be that close to homelessness! Send the jerk a reply stating that you don't even consider working for kind. But then, in some place $100 an hour gets a real classy hooker...or so I have been told! Here in UK, £50 an hour to mow your lawn is a bit steep!

Cindi I wouldn't require photos to be able to give you a massage. I would do it for free.

I might even pay you if you would let me.

Sounds like he really wants you to take his picture.
He didn't seem to threatening. I might give him a chance.
Doesn't hurt to have the lawn mowed for free. I'd skip the massage though!!!

if you do give him a chance, make sure you have a "helper"...six foot four, two-hundred and fifty pounds, broad in the shoulders, you know...

His email actually sounds quite reasonable until you get to the 'relaxing massage' bit.

What possessed him to write that? - Watching too much Desperate Housewives I'd say.

I thought the same thing!! lol Actually, if I'm bored sometime I may contact him to do some shots around St. Augustine - in PUBLIC AREAS! He does have a rugged handsomeness about him (grungy). Oh, maybe he could be our model for the April GTG! lol

hmm not sure what to make of that one, sounds not to bad like the others said till it gets to the massage part... mite have sounded more sincere if he made a comment like rex's a few posts up, straight and to the point ;)

Hard to say how sincere he really is without seeing or talking to him and also as stated before I would make it a public event or have 1 or 2 "assistants" if you do a studio shoot as that seems common with a lot of photog's.

They're available in just about every public library here in the US. Here in San Francisco, it's the preferred place for the homeless to get their fill of internet porn.
