Anyone know why my brushes won't work after I set up a layers mask ? Was fine a few days ago. Here's the order I'm working in:
Open File
Duplicate Layer
Blur
Layer Mask
At this point I can't use my brushes to add the blur to the areas I want.
I'm sure I overlooked something, but I can't figure it out.
thanks in advance !

This could be dumb, but ensure that you have the mask selected and not the layer...

Also, check to make sure the layer you are trying to edit isn't locked.

Also if you are used to seeing the circle for your brush on your monitor and suddenly it is a cross and won't change size...then you have simply left your capital lock on. Click the cap lock and your circle will return.
