Just bought this used L lens. (70 - 200 without IS). I´ve found out that the lens sits a little bit loose on the camera. I can rotate the lens about 2 mm, it´s not completely stuck on the camera body. This is probably because of the lens mount ring (don´t know what´s it called) is a bit worn. Does this affect lens sharpness alot???

Is it possible to change the lens mount ring on the lens? Do I have to send it in for repairs? Or should I not bother?

PS.
The autofocus works fine, so the contacts are fine.

does the lens release button on the camera seem to lock ( pop up ) when you fit the lens to the camera?

Yes it locks fine.

I wouldn't be worried about sharpness, but definitely worried about the contacts between the lens and the camera. You said that the mount is worn? Can you give us a picture of it?

The contacts seem to be fine so far. But of course this can change as the mounting ring gets more worn.

Is it expensive to send lenses to Canon maintenance? Will they go through the whole lens as well?
