Onion Soup, Smoked Ribs, Wor Matzo Ball Soup (Asian Style...nothing kosher about it)

Sauteed Skate w/Bacon, Shrimp, Capers and Croutons, Chicken Sandwich, Sushi

Some food shots that I just took. If you don't like shallow dof or blown highlights ignore these. That was done intentionally.

I've been eating well. This is a dangerous business.

They look scrumptious, but I am surprised. I always read that food photography involved all sorts of processes that made the food inedible, like spraying with hairspray or some such thing for extra shine.

Guess you're proving that it CAN be done with the real thing, too!

Left you a few comments... you're getting better at this from the first few you posted! I hope you had some wonderful veggie dish to shoot this week for the challenge! :)

Looking fine, Steve. You're doing very well in the main. I think the Wor Matzoh Soup one needs better focus on the head of the prawn, the focus is lost in the right-near foreground where not a hell of a lot is happening on that one.

bump for the morning crowd

Yeah...it's all natural. No paint...no glycerin...nothing.

I try not to touch the food at all, if I can help it. Keep it honest.

Bear-If you hadn't seen it yet, I used a different image for the Wor Matzo...

Very nice work Steve. I had spent most of my life in kitchens and these pics and plates look great. You could do real well shooting for restaurant magazines.
