Hello,
I have been experimenting with HDR and multiple exposures. My question is:
What if I have a single Jpg image that is begging for tone mapping...can this be done. As of today, I can't figure it out. Photomatix will only let me open a raw file for tone mapping.
Anybody? |

Change it to 16bit mode and save as a tiff in photoshop, then it should open fine in photomatix.

Actually you need to Generate the HDR first.
Open your JPG in PhotoMatix then go to HDR-->Generate
You will get an odd looking image, then go to HDR-->Tone Mapping
When you open from RAW, PhotoMatix generates the HDR upon opening the file.
Good luck.
