Oh Svetlana, how often have I chosen that image for "the person above you" thread, hrm?

Congrats!! I have been a member since their inception in 2004 (they are only 30 miles from me, too), but let my membership lapse so far this year. I just can't figure out what the HELL FIne Art means!! and haven't entered lately.
I started thinking that it meant something someone would want to hang on their wall. Then it turned into a bunch of very strange and weird stuff, were geting accepted. Then stuff that just looked like drap to me. So now I am confused, because your shot is VERY good!!
I did win Co-Best in Show for the Members Invitational for THIS. Of course, no money or EXTRA time hanging somewhere. :( But, some recognition. :)
I may be going down to DIA to check it out when it starts up. Shall see.
Again, good job on getting through the MAZE.

I have already been crying a bit, then dancing and then crying again today, hehe.
this is my first ever exhibition and the first little victory.
everything is happening so fast.
I started taking photos in september 2006 when I got my nikon d50 as a present and started taking "artistic" photos for around 3 months ago.
I am so bad technically!! the photo they chose is so bad, I'll have to re-edit it a lot, I'll correct the lighting on the face and remove that unnecessary canvas filter.
but still, I am happy.
I hope you are happy, too today!
because life is great:)
