Adobe has made that offer periodically. It is as good a deal as you will find from them. I bought into photoshop on this type of promotion. I believe from a version of Elements I which I got free with my E-10.

So how much is it to upgrade from CS2 to CS3? How much does it cost to buy CS3 full version?

Good question..... you will eventually upgrade to the new versions in the future. After you have obtained your first version you will pay a third of the cost to upgrade. Why not start out with a substantial discount.

Exactly my point. Anywhere I look for for CS2 it's $600 or more still. If I can get it now for $300 and upgrade to CS3 later for the usual $150 or so they charge then why not? I'm still money ahead of anybody that buys full versions. Right?

Yes, the Adobe offer is a economical, direct, way to get the program.
