Now, this could be an awful lot of fun!
I will have to go and consult my expect when I get home. Having a 9 yo (yeah yeah yeah Spawn, I know, 10 in how many hours now?????) who is very mildly autistic, we have a household where you have to be very careful as everything is taken very literally.
He'll be a fountain of ideas for this one, I'll just have to follow him around for a couple of hours :) |

I think I found an example of one type of "literalism" in the archives:
Salted Nut Row by casualguy
But based on this thread, I think this challenge is intended to be about "common phrases" (also called clichés) and not simply "literal interpretation of words".

"Literalism" usually applies to the literal interpretation of a common slang phrase or expression; the expressions in the other thread are some good examples.
