I followed this tutorial very closely because I need to protect my images but hit a brick wall right after I 'drew' the symbol. Instead of the copyright symbol showing up in the layers palette, a black square showed up instead. I didn't know where to go from there. I love PhotoShop and have learned quite a lot about using it but some things stump me.
I tried and tried to get the symbol to appear in the layers palette but it didn't so if anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Instead of wracking my brain trying to figure out what I did wrong, I used text to create an individual copyright on a few photos, one by one. Yes, a hassle but it worked. I also copied a symbol from Google and used it. One in particular was on a layer so the background is transparent and works well on my photos. The only problem, I can't seem to figure out how to save it to use in the future. I played around with my signature copyright using the bevel and emboss feature but could never get it as three dimensional as I would like. I also can't get my watermark to look transparent like on other photos I've seen.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks in advance
