Sometimes people want to send each other files but it doesn't appear to be possible with the current implemenation of the private messages. Maybe we can add an attachment option.

PM1: Test, this is Bob, what's your email address so I can send you that file you wanted.
PM2: Hi Bob, my email address is test@example.com. Thanks for sending me the file! |

As common as malicious attachments have become, and considering that many users have mailbox size limits, I'm not sure it's beneficial to provide a way to send unsolicited attachments via the web site
As a matter of etiquette, one should not send attachments without requesting permission from the intended recipient. When PM'ing for permission, one can easily request a direct email address at that time.
