I unplugged my pc and everything else the other day while cleaning and reorganizing my PC station. I unplugged my router and now I have no wireless internet for the rest of the house. Can anyone walk me through which cords go from what to where? Right now I am just hooked up directly to my modem. I can't seem to get the cords right so my wireless will work, I am pretty sure I just have them wrong.

I need to know where the cord goes that comes from the internet port on the router. Also, where does the ethernet cord go from the PC. The other question is, there is a port from the modem that says internet too.

I'm so confused. I must of lucked up on it last time I set it up. Can't for the life of me get it going again now.

HEP me. LOL

Assuming DSL or cable modem, the cord from the "Internet" port on the router goes to the DSL or cable modem. The ethernet cord from the PC can go in one of the "numbered" slots on the router. Usually there are 4 of them, but some routers have more. Which one doesn't matter.

What do the other ports on the modem say?

Ok, I had it all garbled up. Mostly the problem was I had a wireless B network card in my pc, when I have a wireless G router. I reinstalled the software, and my security settings were set for B also.

Problem fixed. Took me hours and hours to figure out the problem.

Thanks though!
