Give to the Red Cross or United Way, donate $$, food, clothes.
They missed the hurricanes this year and got tornadoes! Terrible. |

This is about 30 minutes from where I live. The storms last night where the worst I have heard in a while. We have limbs down all over our yard. One very large one on top of out our back porch. Luckily that was it for us.
They were taking cash donations for the red cross at the local Walmart when I went a little bit ago. I think that the Red Cross would be the best place to donate to if you wanted to help.

Unfortunately it was bad. I live in Orlando and got a lot of rain and lightening. However there are places that got hit really bad.
There was a big accident on one of our major highways..the radio said there were 2-3 semi trucks, a uhaul truck and quite a few cars involved. And that was not the only accident on the roads. Very weird, it all happened over night! |

sad story indeed. I feel sorry for all florida residents as this will likely hurt all homeowners like the hurricanes have been every year in taxes and insurance. I still own a home in the tampa bay area and this year my mortgage payment went up 65% because of an increase in taxes and insurance. many florida residents can't afford these increases and are losing thier homes. So people that have not been hit by storms lose thier house anyway.
I encourage everyone to dontate what you can but i also encourage all florida residents (which i am technically not) to write your goverment and demand that these increases be reduced and stopped. please make sure your freinds and family prepare to vote when the time comes and know what you are voting on.
