BTW, I know NOTHING about how viewers will interpret these challenges.

I almost pulled my tree entry, and it's at 6.38 with 8 comments.

I expected a plus 6 on my street entry, and it's at 5.78. Go figure.

Look for Magners in the States is the same stuff under a different name.

Anyone know what is up when you get a stats n/a on this immage? I have that on both of mine today. Is something down, I have not got a QF notice??

I'm curious...Fill Flash is legal, right? I'm just kicking myself for *discovering* it just last night. Gawd what a difference it makes!!!! Especially for pesky lightbox pix where you just can't quite get the light to do 100% what you want!

Definitely. Not only legal, but also necessary in many situations. I used fill flash, white balance correction and upped the sharpness (all in-camera) in my tree photo. Any in-camera technique is okay as long as the file is JPEG.

Catherine, I'd happily donate to flowers for Jeanne - just let me know what needs to be done. Very good idea, too!

And we might all want to take pictures of something appropriate and create get-well cards to send her electronically, too!

As well as Trees (bombing) and Love (TOTALLY bombing).

E-cards sound like a good idea.

If someone is collecting paypal funds for flowers, I can chip in a couple of dollars.

I need to make sure that [user]quiet observation[/user] gets her money's worth from me *grin*

Is it okay that my entries for 2 of the challenges are from the same photo shoot though ? Not the same subject or anything - but taken within a short time frame, more or less same set-up as for lighting and camera settings and such.

I'm glad I pulled my entry in trees. I would have gotten bombed. There are some very nice shots out there.

I can't believe how many nasty comments I'm getting in "Hate". They just keep coming.

Now see, Bob, I've got to disagree with you. I just finished voting on trees, and I think yours would have held up quite nicely. In fact, I'm surprised at how much people seem to rely on Photoshop. I didn't find too many trees that were really properly exposed IMO. But then again, I've gotten a couple of comments that mine looks slightly overexposed, so might be my monitor in some instances.

What I do is submit the same photos to all 3 sites. If only one takes it, I'll make it exclusive on that site. If 2 or more take it, I don't. I check with all 3 first though.
