Well.... my entry is in..... I'm really worried about this one.... This score could hurt.....
I like my entry and think it could be quite unique, just hoping the voters will see it that way too.....

besides, this challenge is way fun without 'em anyway. :) |
Not all animals are used for food, hope the voters know the difference. |

huh? DQ-able food is the open challenges this week. Personification (this challenge) can be food, Rob was just saying that animals might be a bad idea.

Jorge, you can request a self-DQ any time during the voting period. If you have not had a DQ or done a self-DQ in the last 25 challenges, it will disappear as if it never existed. |

Jason,
I think my entry will get a good score, but I really want to be far from this photo when the challenge is over. It doesn't match with my usual work.

I think he wants to let the photo complete the run of the challenge but he wants to be able to take it out of his portfolio after it is scored. I can't figure out how to do that or if it is possible.

Self-DQ requests can only be made during voting. |

Ya, if you let it run the course of the challenge, the picture is there forever. |

i'd say so, because most people interpret personification as giving human qualities to inanimate objects.
you can argue that it's giving human qualities to non-human subjects (such as animals) ... but as rob is saying, that won't be a popular point of view, and people might be highly critical of it.
if the objective is creativity, then inanimate objects are going to fare a lot better! :)
my opinion ...

I'm confused here. To not be DNMC'd you physically have to take an inanimate object and twist and bend it to make it take on a human trait, but you can't use an inanimate object that already posesses human traits?
Or, are some people just angry because they didn't do so well in the last challenge and will hammer anyone that doesn't think the same way they do? |

If you are lucky.....you might find something that you don't have to twist and bend...it lust looks human |
