People have opinions and they vary. You will never please everyone.
If your image is getting a low score chances are good that it has more to do with photographic defects than DNMCs from a few funatical fringe voters.
You are better served to learn better photographic techniques than wasting time worrying about DNMC issues.
Outside DPC the challenge topic means nothing whatsoever, but good photography lives on forever!

What's actually worse is when it's your girlfriends cat and it's also cleaning your teeth with it's tongue. This caused me to inadvertently invent the "cat" apult.
