I have searching for a background support system for my home studio. Does it matter what brand to get if its only supporting the paper? |

Depends. Do you want a permenant solution or a mobile one? Do you plan to change backgrounds often? What sort of budget do you have?

I just got one from Amvona on eBay. It was around $95 US including shipping. Here is a link to another of the same model:

Amvona has a lot of eBay auctions so picking something up there is fairly easy.
Good luck,
Mike

this is a great deal. i got one very similar from my local shop (last minute dealie) and it didn't include the paper, so about $170 all together.
but it goes together in a snap. my only wish is that the vertical stands had markers so it would be easy to get them up to the same height quickly. |

I used nail polish to make stripes on mine -- saves time :)
